BaseTao Review: Ship for Me Agent for Self-Purchased Parcels
BaseTao is a shopping agent that runs two purchase routes through one warehouse: Buy for Me for original marketplace links, and Ship for Me for parcels you already paid a Chinese seller to send. Our testing team used it to collect spreadsheet finds, review QC photos and consolidate several sellers' orders into one international parcel.
Short answer
BaseTao suits spreadsheet shoppers who need a single warehouse flow for both agent-purchased orders and self-purchased parcels. Its Ship for Me option, 120-day free storage and QC-photo workflow are especially useful when you are gathering orders from several sellers before shipping internationally. Route availability, delivery times and outcomes vary with destination, line, customs and declaration.

About BaseTao
BaseTao is built around two distinct routes into the same warehouse: Buy for Me for items it purchases on your behalf, and Ship for Me for parcels you have already bought from a Chinese seller. In either case the warehouse records arrival, uploads QC photos, lets you gather purchases from separate sellers, and prepares the final international parcel. The 120-day storage window gives a spreadsheet buyer room to wait for several purchases before deciding how to ship. Published policies and community discussion describe working email support and QC photos landing within a day of warehouse arrival, but route performance and delivery outcomes still depend on destination, line, customs and declaration, so treat anecdotal feedback as context rather than a promise.| What works well | What to check |

What makes BaseTao different?
BaseTao is useful when a spreadsheet mixes links you want an agent to buy with items you have already purchased yourself. Rather than forcing both into separate services, Buy for Me and Ship for Me move into the same warehouse stage for inspection, storage, consolidation and shipping. In our testing, that mattered most for baskets assembled across several sellers over weeks rather than days: parcels simply accumulated in storage until we were ready to pack. The published company entity is HONG KONG BASETAO E-COMMERCE CO., LIMITED, and support is handled by email.QC and product assessment
Use the spreadsheet to locate the original listing, then use warehouse QC to check visible colour, damage, stains, labelled size and style. If size matters, request BaseTao's measurement service rather than assuming QC pictures prove actual dimensions. Functional testing and colour differences are outside the standard inspection scope. On pricing, the published September 2026 fact sheet lists a service fee of 2.20–3.20, a fixed fee of 0.45, an exchange rate of 6.67, basic insurance at 2.00 and full insurance at 4.00; the official membership page also lists V0 benefits of CNY 50 in monthly measurement coupons and CNY 15 in monthly shipping coupons, which reset each month. Check your account and the checkout for current terms.Shipping, storage and insurance
Use the 120-day storage period to collect orders, then compare available routes after the final parcel has been packed. Some lines bill by the higher of actual or volumetric weight. Read the selected route and insurance terms before paying, because availability, coverage and delivery time differ by destination. BaseTao accepts a long list of payment methods, including PayPal, Visa, Mastercard and American Express alongside regional options such as PayNow, iDEAL, PIX, OXXO, Boleto, BLIK and Multibanco. What a BaseTao Spreadsheet is for
A spreadsheet is a research and link-discovery tool, not a substitute for the seller page or final checkout. Open the original listing, confirm the exact variant and seller information, then submit it to BaseTao. The order page and final parcel quote are the source of truth for current availability and charges. Because standard QC will not measure a garment or test electronics for you, budget for the measurement service and price each optional warehouse add-on before you commit to a consolidation plan. How to use BaseTao
Step 1 — Start with a traceable listing
Use the spreadsheet to find a trustworthy original marketplace link. Open it, verify the seller, variant, size, colour and current listing details, then save the source link for your order record.
Step 2 — Choose Buy for Me or Ship for Me
Paste an original listing into BaseTao when you want it to buy the item. If you have already paid the seller, use Ship for Me and submit the seller's domestic tracking number so the parcel is expected at the warehouse.
Step 3 — Assess the warehouse arrival
Review QC photos as soon as the item arrives. Check visible condition against the original listing, request measurement if sizing matters, and raise return or exchange questions early because seller approval and timing control the outcome.
Step 4 — Consolidate only when you are ready to ship
Use the 120-day storage window to collect orders from different sellers. After the final parcel is packed, compare eligible routes, packaging and insurance terms, then submit international shipping when the quote fits your plan.
Frequently asked
How should I assess an item after it reaches BaseTao?
Compare the QC photos with the original listing and check visible colour, damage, stains, labelled size and style. Standard QC does not prove actual measurements, colour accuracy or electronics functionality, so request the measurement service when a garment's size matters.
How do shipping and insurance work after consolidation?
Collect parcels during the storage window, then compare routes once the box is packed. A line may charge by the greater of actual and volumetric weight. Read the current insurance terms before payment; route availability and delivery time depend on destination and customs conditions.
Which costs should I check before paying?
Check the item price, domestic delivery, optional warehouse services, the international parcel quote, insurance and any payment fee separately. Use the checkout and packed-parcel quote as the current source of truth rather than assuming a spreadsheet price includes every charge.
